I think this is one of my favourites next to Thumpback in ways of how you are drawing them, Thumpback was slightly more imposing and the artwork felt more alive and less boring though due to a lower zoom factor I guess. The composition is very nice on this artwork still. The pose of Eyebrawl is simple but you realy feel they are two seperate partners instead of one whole.
I always love this kind of technique, the shading is minimalistic but very effective. The armour looks nicely shiny and the wings of the eyeball look fleshy. One thing that is kinda sad is that the eyeball itself isn't shaded, like the way the inside of the armour has been done. The eyball feels a bit too out of place and flat, this could have been solved by slighly shading it in that same way. The same goes for the giant's wing, it feels too flat and a tiny bit of shading could fix that easily.
Apart from the few unshaded elements and the effort put in the background / pose this is still one of my favourites from all of that you have done and I cannot wait to see the other giants in your style.
I personally think that this is an amazing work you have done a great job here the small amount of shading and emphasized highlights look great you really gave it that more undead look that it needed and I think the red wings and nerve work on the eye ball was a very well executed idea. I also really enjoy the new armor with the more ghostly form underneath and the small details like the skulls on the knees, and the detail in the gauntlets. The green background was also a nice touch with the red of the eye for the complementary colors and with the black for a more erie look, especially with the flowing streaks of color to show movement like a vortex of spiritual energy. All in all I think this is a fantastic representation of Eye-Brawl and is deffinately my favorite one of your skylander pieces thus far.
Alpha says: I actually had an idea for an Eye-Brawl back-story. The headless giant and the flying eye were both kings of their own undead kingdoms and during a friendly peace meeting the starring contest (mentioned in the biography) led to an argument which led to a huge war with solders, and deathly explosions. Eventually the Arkeyans began taking over the Undead realms which led to the giant and the eye working together to defeat them and drive them away from the two undead kingdoms. Is it good, its good
Wow. 030 The level of detail you put into the armour shine and the lighting effects! Nice! And the creative idea of having the eyeball wings be composed of the arteries of the eye. :3 You guys sure are able to take cool but cutesy characters and turn them into AWESOME and deadly looking characters while still keeping the feel of the original ^0^
They've featured the Fright Rider picture MAD did on Facebook, though it wasn't on the group's name, but it might be one of them. They probably know about you guys, but maybe they can't handle the awesomeness :U
