But let me also say... It's always puzzled me how you guys do the humanoid male characters all big and buff and manly and the female humanoids all sexy and elegant and stylish... yet with the Dragon characters, they're all large and fierce and strong-looking regardless of gender. I don't necessarily have a problem with this, per se, but I do think it's a bit odd that you guys didn't decide to make the female dragons more sleek and elegant and feminine in their own way. A female dragon can look awesome and fierce while still having having that feminine look. Because, if I'm being completely honest, if you asked me the gender of Flashwing here and Cynder based on your artwork, I'd think they were male. As cool as this is, I think I'd like the female dragons even more if they were as visually distinctive from the males as they are in your art of the humanoid Skylanders.
As usual, the coloring and lineart and technique and everything are great. The background looks really cool, and the purple crystals (both on Flashwing herself and in the background) are probably the most visually appealing thing, but I also love the various minerally textures that you were able to impart on her skin.
So... hopefully this is detail enough for a critique... ~__~
just because a real dragoness isn't beautiful but scary. ^^ we know she's not perfectly real looking but we wanted to give that idea. hope I was clear ^^
